Executive Assistant Training

Many Executive Assistant positions are held by Certified Public Accountants, who has gained experience and knowledge through years of hands-on training with certified executives. They are also very skilled in assisting CPAs in client management, accounting and bookkeeping. Thus, it is but obvious for the CPA to look for executive assistant courses that can help them acquire the necessary skills to excel in their job.

The following are some of the popular Executive Assistant Training programs offered by the various colleges and universities. The University of Phoenix Executive Assistant Program is one of the best-known and longest running Executive Assistant Training programs. Candidates wishing to enroll in this program should be knowledgeable about taxation, bookkeeping, insurance compliance, ethics, marketing, medical records and banking. University of Phoenix executive assistant training classes offer a wide variety of courses which provide insight into the most challenging industry sectors and in depth training on subjects such as communication, customer service, project management and sales.

Another famous Executive Assistant Training program is the University of Sarasota's Executive Institute. This program has helped train thousands of administrative professionals in the field. Among these graduates are many who have gone on to become successful accountants, auditors, attorneys, business managers, venture capitalists and financial planners. Among these top class professionals, there are many who are now successful in their own fields and have left the field as Registered Agents, Financial Advisors, Insurance Agents, Appraisers, Appraisals Technicians, Office Assistants etc. The goal of this in-house executive pa training is to equip its participants with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices, while equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful.

Another renowned executive assistant training program is that of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. In this course, candidates must undergo both classroom and hands-on training. Candidates may join as student organizers and participants, but they can also take up internships or apply as teaching aides. The courses cover everything from executive leadership, public relations to the ins and outs of accounting. The goal of the program is to ensure that each participant develops a comprehensive set of skills that would help them be successful in their future profession.

An in-house training for administrative professionals may provide information about new laws and administrative procedures, plus it would include ethical standards and personal ethics. It can even include financial ethics, or understanding the difference between client satisfaction and business satisfaction. Other courses could train people on proper documentation and billing, or how to perform legal research. These training courses are usually given by Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), who supervise the in-house training.

Some schools also offer on-campus executive assistant training. Candidates wishing to enroll in such programs must first complete the necessary courses. Once these are completed, candidates can enroll for a four-week course which covers subjects like communication and public speaking, leadership, interpersonal skills, sales skills, technical skills, and ethics. Other courses might also be available, depending on the school. For instance, some schools might only include anatomy in their curriculum. The number of courses required depends on the requirements of the school, as well as the needs of their particular student population.

Another option is professional development. This is ideal for candidates who don't have any experience in working in offices, but are sure of their ability to become an effective and efficient executive assistant. Professional development courses often cover areas such as leadership, teamwork, organizational behavior, decision-making, time management, and other important subjects. The duration of the professional development program will depend on the school, its curriculum, and the number of students that wish to enroll. As with the in-house training, certification is usually required for professionals wishing to pursue careers in senior clerical positions.

One of the best options for students looking to advance their career, while also improving the skills they already have, is to pursue an online Executive Assistant Training course. This is an excellent option because it offers the opportunity for a person to learn directly from an expert, without having to spend money on classroom instruction. Furthermore, online training is often less costly than in-classroom professional development programs. Online courses are also more flexible, allowing people to complete the course at their own pace. If you're ready to get ahead in your career, or just want to brush up on your skills, an online training program is highly recommended by many employers.
